Time to inside opening
We are currently serving takeaways on Friday and Saturday evenings and we will be open for food and drinks outside on the village green and in our beer garden from Monday April 12th 2021.
We are now taking bookings for our bed and breakfast accommodation for 2021 and hoping that the bar and restaurant will open on Monday 17th May.
We’re looking forward to seeing you and hope 2021 will be a much better year.
Beer Wine and Spirits
We have a large selection of gins from Solway Spirits as well as real ales from Tirril, the Lakeland Brewery.

We also pride ourselves on our selection of wines, available by the bottle and by the glass.
Accommodation
We have six comfortable rooms overlooking the village green, each one named after a local breed of sheep.

Ideal for overnight stays on your travels or for a short break in the Eden Valley of Cumbria.
Food
Serving freshly prepared, home-made dishes such as the famous 'wathby whale (our own take on traditional fish and chips).

We also have daily specials and you can check our menu online.

Location

We are a short distance from Junction 40 of the M6 at Penrith and Langwathby railway station on the Settle to Carlisle railway is only a couple of minutes’ walk away.
We overlook Langwathby village green and are ideally placed for a Coast to Coast, Sea to Sea cycle route stopover. We can provide secure bike storage whether you’re following the route or just exploring North Cumbria.
